On September 12th, 2010, my family will participate in a big fundraiser to support The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. 100% of raised funds will go directly to research to fight this devastating disease, the 5-year survival rate for which is a tragic 5%. About ten percent of pancreatic cancer cases are hereditary. My family has been ravaged by this disease – my paternal grandmother and my father’s brother and sister all succumbed to the disease before the age of seventy.
To support research to develop an efficient, effective early screening test and to work toward a cure, my goal is to raise $2,500 $3,000 $3,500 by September 12th. Please donate here.
Or maybe just go shopping! The following generous crafters are donating a portion or all of the proceeds of some of their sales to my campaign. Great for gift-giving! Great for indulging yourself! And super-fantastic-awesome for pancreatic cancer research. If you’d like to donate a portion of your crafts sales, just fill in the form below the listings and I’ll add you to this page ASAP. (And thank you!)
NEW! If you’ve made a donation or make a donation before noon on Monday, September 13th, leave a comment on this post to be entered to win awesome yarn and fibre prizes! Prizes have been donated by Amanda Allen and Dyeabolical.
